St. John’s Meadows Honors Centenarians
Six St. John’s Meadows residents reached a remarkable milestone this year: each has turned 100 or older.
St. John’s Meadows hosted its annual centenarian luncheon last week, where residents, family members, and employees gathered for an afternoon of good food, conversation, and celebration. The tradition brings together residents from both independent and assisted living. It also provides an opportunity to recognize their remarkable lives and experiences.
This year’s centenarians were Jackie Stricker, 103; Peter Alfolter, 103; Alice Morse, 103; Jan Hickman, 100; Goldie Rogers, 100; and Allen Brown, 100.
During the luncheon, guests enjoyed a four-course meal followed by birthday cake. Along the way, the centenarians also shared their thoughts on living a long and fulfilling life. For resident Jan Hickman, the advice is simple: “Keep walking and stay active.”
Beyond the celebration, the luncheon offered a chance to reflect on the lives of these residents. Each has a lifetime of experiences, memories, and connections to share. Their families and the St. John’s Meadows community were proud to mark the occasion alongside them.
