St. John’s Home Celebrates its Centenarians
St. John’s Home continued its tradition of celebrating resident centenarians at this year’s Centenarian Celebration and Luncheon. The 2025 honorees included Mildred Austin, 100 years old; Kalope Jamesson, 100; Nina Andolina, 100; Beatrice Labore, 101; Katie Nau, 102; Doris Remein, 104; Reba Baker, 104; and Evalyn Seaver, 105 years old.
Honorees were treated to lunch, live music from harpist Roxanne Ziegler, champagne, and cake. Rob Earl, St. John’s Executive Vice President and CFO delivered welcome remarks and St. John’s Chaplin Ben Loos gave a blessing.
Mildred Austin told 13 WHAM that one of the secrets to living a long life is choosing a “job you really enjoy.”
“I think it means a lot,” says Mildred, “when you go to work, and it is something you enjoy.”
Mildred and the other honorees were joined by family, friends, and St. John’s employees to celebrate the occasion.
