The results from our January 2026 Independent Living Resident Satisfaction Survey affirm what we are most proud of: St. John’s truly feels like home and our residents feel safe, supported, and engaged in a vibrant community.

More than 83% of independent living residents agree that “St. John’s feels like home,” a result that exceeds national benchmarks for senior living communities.

This sense of belonging reflects not just the physical environment, but the relationships, trust, and shared experiences that define daily life at St. John’s.

Exceptional Value and Peace of Mind

Residents also report strong satisfaction with the value they receive:

84% are satisfied with the value they receive for what they pay, significantly higher than national averages.
An impressive 96% of residents say they feel safe at St. John’s, underscoring the importance of security, reliability, and peace of mind in independent living.

Social Connection and Engagement

Community life is a cornerstone of independent living and residents consistently rate St. John’s highly for social connection:

86% of residents find interesting social and recreational programs available and feel empowered to create their own, reflecting both robust programming and resident-led initiatives.
90% report a positive view of St. John’s when recommending it to friends and family, a powerful endorsement of their lived experience.

Staff Make the Difference

Perhaps most meaningful of all, 92% of residents report having a positive view of St. John’s staff members, placing St. John’s among top-rated communities for staff excellence.
