Meadows Art Gallery Showcases Talented Resident-Artists, Rich Programming

“Pups of St. John’s Meadows” Pen & Ink Drawing by Concierge Betty Umoff

The semiannual St. John’s Meadows Art Gallery Show recently returned to the walkway between Briarwood and Chestnut Court. The works featured this Fall once again highlight the diverse range of media and techniques used by St. John’s residents, employees, and visiting instructors.

St. John’s Meadows— and neighboring community Brickstone by St. John’s— offer an array of art classes each month. Social Recreation programs like Art for the Young at Heart, Crafts and Conversation, and Watercolor Class give residents of all abilities a chance to show off their artistic side in a fun, stress-free setting.

The latest installment of the gallery show once again includes work by lifelong working artists like Roslyn Rose as well as pieces created by those who have just begun embracing the arts.

The gallery show opened in late September and runs through the Fall season. Be sure to check out all of the great works hanging throughout the walkway during your next visit to St. John’s Meadows.

Pieces by residents Esther Smalline, Tom Barker, and Nancy Kraus
