Bright Spot Shines on Remarkable Reminders

Kristina Dinino-Jeffords who is the owner of the Mad Hatter Restaurant and Bakery dropped off 40 boxed luncheons to St. John’s Home staff members. Kristina started giving back to the community after she had to lay off her employees due to the COVID-19 closures.

She has a special connection with St. John’s as she had three family members who lived here. “My mom, grandma and uncle were all residents at St. John’s. We are planning on delivering 40 boxed lunches consisting of a sandwich, cookie, fresh fruit slices and a bottled water around 1:30 tomorrow. Please let the staff know how appreciative we are of them being away from their families to take care of our loved ones,” said Kristina.

Staff members lined up to receive their hand-crafted lunches with delight and appreciation. Each one who received a lunch greatly thanked Kristina’s thoughtfulness. We are so blessed to be a part of the Rochester community that cares to give back to the health care workers who continue to care for loved ones at this time.

This beautiful display of support was featured on 13 WHAM’s Bright Spot compilation of remarkable reminders that are throughout the Rochester community in the midst of these trying times.
