Veterans Day 2015

This year and in years past, our veterans at St. John’s Meadows and Brickstone by St. John’s were celebrated in fine fashion on Tuesday, November 10 in an event coordinated by our recreation activities leader, Samra Beslagic.

Kim Kenna our operations manager expressed her greetings and appreciation while Reverend Beth Quick offered the blessing. Each resident veteran was named along with his branch of service. There was appropriate piano music accompanying the service in the beautifully decorated St. John’s Meadows Chestnut Court Parks Room.

A delicious lunch was served with turkey sandwiches on croissants, stuffing, cranberries, and blueberry pie for dessert to complete the red, white, and blue color scheme.

It was a moving, respectful celebration enjoyed by the eighty veterans who were present.
