Second Webinar in “Digital Spring Cleaning” Series Tackles Photos

St. John’s held the second virtual webinar of the return in 2022 of its popular Technology Tuesdays Series on Tuesday, March 8.  This series had the special focus of “Digital Spring Cleaning,” with all topics related to organizing your online life. The topic for the second webinar of the series was Digital Photos: The Big Picture and  38 people were online to participate. With technology instructor Daniel Jones leading the discussion as the featured speaker, the content was enriching and informative.

The webinar started with a brief history of photography and important terms to know. How to take photos and videos with a smart phone as well storing, sharing, and order prints from online photos, were also discussed.

A good portion of time was spent going over tips and tricks related to taking photos and videos. Use of the burst functionality, panorama, and filters offered attendees a chance to up their game when using their photo for personal use.

Tackling the online “cleaning” topic, which is the focus of the series, the content area of organizing your storing and organizing digital photos using such features as albums, favoriting, and cloud storage were covered. Daniel’s going over the process for ordering prints directly from your phone using Cloud-stored images using such apps as Shutterfly was particularly beneficial.

Sharing this type of instruction with seniors is nothing new to instructor Daniel Jones.
