St. John’s Known for Providing Enhanced Dementia Care and Support

The name St. John’s has become synonymous with excellence and innovation in dementia care and support in the Rochester, New York region.

In 2019, St. John’s created Beyond Memory, a  specialized dementia care program designed specifically for skilled nursing residents and created by nursing, social work, and therapeutic recreation staff members. Just last year, St. John’s also launched the Dementia Resource Center– an online resource for family caregivers supporting people living with dementia.

“The focus is on elevating everyday life,” St. John’s Dementia/Quality of Life Specialist Mimi DeVinney told Andrea Deckert of the Rochester Business Journal about the development of these recently launched specialty programs.

“Our goal is to be at the forefront of providing dementia care,” added St. John’s Vice President of Marketing Jennifer Lesinski. “We are excited about what has been happening and what’s in store for the future.”
