News 8 WROC Shines a Light on a New Club at St. John’s Home

“Hats off” to the ladies of The Purple Hat Society who were featured last week on the News 8 WROC “What’s Good” segment. The new club was started by residents and staff on the Beyond Memory floor of St. John’s Home. It began as a way to beat the “COVID-19 blues” and to encourage residents living with dementia to safely gather, socialize and partake in activities. The women formally meet once a month and have decorated their own hats they often wear around the St. John’s campus.
