St. John’s Celebrates Centenarians
St. John’s Meadows honored four centenarians reaching milestones of 100, 101, and 102 years of age with a unique celebration on June 17.
Despite state mandated visitation restrictions, Meadows staff and resident family members improvised with a full parade of cars honking and cheering, while residents sat outside relishing in the celebration from a distance. In the seven years prior to Wednesday’s event, St. John’s has celebrated resident centenarians with a special catered lunch.
After the parade of cars and several photo opportunities, the residents moved indoors to watch a compilation of photos and video through the years. Each centenarian also received personalized cookies and floral arrangements from St. John’s staff members.
