Previous Rehab Patient featured in Messenger Post Media

It was a memorable day for the rehabilitation staff at St. John’s Home. A previous patient, Richard Stutzman, decided to visit with those who helped him have a successful recovery. Stutzman returned to St. John’s last week dressed as a clown. He joked around with staff and residents and handed out candy. He expressed his need to “pay it forward” and say thank you.

Stutzman’s story was recently published in Messenger Post Media and continues to shed positive light during his difficult time. After falling from a ladder and suffering multiple fractures and broken bones, Stutzman was admitted to the hospital before being transferred to St. John’s for rehabilitation. Every day for more than a month, Richard worked with physical, occupational, and speech therapists to regain strength before making a full recovery.
