Residents Celebrate Valentine’s Day with ‘Date Night’

A special dinner was held for residents and loved ones yesterday evening in celebration of Valentine’s Day. Rose petals lined the entrance of the auditorium, which was transformed into “Highland Ristorante,” a beautifully decorated, high-class dining experience. Upon entering, residents and guests were greeted by the hostess and accompanied to their reserved tables. As they took their seats, couples commented on the adorned tables with baby’s breath flowers and rose petals.

Residents, loved ones, and friends settled in as the wait staff took orders for the four-course meal. A live harpist played soft familiar music in the background. Some residents exchanged gifts with one another, while others took advantage of the photo booth. As more reservations were seated, the dining experience came to life with couples and friends reminiscing and enjoying quality time together.

Now in it’s third year, Date Night provides St. John’s Home residents with an opportunity to celebrate Valentine’s Day with their loved ones without having to leave their residence.
