St. John’s is proud to announce that two members of our leadership team have been selected as winners of 2016 LeadingAge New York awards. Congratulations to President and CEO Charlie Runyon and Administrator of Skilled Nursing Rebecca Priest, who have been recognized among the best of New York’s nonprofit long term care, housing, and services providers.

Charlie was chosen as the winner of the James W. Sanderson Memorial Award for Leadership. This award honors personal leadership and commitment by a New York State resident devoted to the field of long term care, housing, and services who is employed by a not-for-profit long term care organization. Charlie was recognized as an individual dedicated to the field of long term care and its residents; admired and respected by colleagues; and exemplifying personal leadership and strong values.

Rebecca has been honored as this year’s winner of the Thomas Clarke Memorial Award. Also known as the Senior Leadership Award, this honor memorializes the work of the late Tom Clarke in long term care, housing, and services administration. It recognizes personal integrity and professional dedication from a professional under the age of 40 years old.

The awards will be presented to Charlie and Rebecca during a luncheon honoring this year’s winners at the LeadingAge New York Annual Conference and Exposition on May 25. Once again, congratulations to Charlie and Rebecca on winning these prestigious awards!
