St. John’s Home Auxiliary Celebrates Years of Service
Staff, elders, and St. John’s Home Auxiliary members gathered on December 3 for a luncheon to celebrate the group’s over 115 years of service as they part ways. The Auxiliary has helped St. John’s elders immeasurably throughout the years by creating meaningful relationships and activities.
Hosting an annual strawberry social, concerts for elders, delivering holiday balloons, and raising funds for elders through Illumination of Love are just some of the many ways they dedicated their time and care to make an elder’s day.
All in attendance at the event enjoyed a gourmet lunch, live music, and shared memories. St. John’s Manager of Volunteer Services Lori Lorraine, who is retiring after 19 years, addressed the audience. “The men and women in this room have treated our elders with dignity, and shared love and friendship with each and every one… we will be so ever grateful for the bright light of this Auxiliary.”
There is not enough we can say to truly thank St. John’s Home Auxiliary members for all they have done throughout the years to make a difference in the lives of elders here.
