We Are All Impacted by Insufficient Funding for Medicaid
Dear Friends,
Thank you for your past support of our collective advocacy efforts to INCREASE and REFORM nursing home Medicaid reimbursement in New York State’s Fiscal Year 2024-25 budget.
The Senate and Assembly one house bills have been presented in response to the Governor’s proposed budget. Over the next few weeks negotiations will take place to come up with a final state budget that is due by April 1.
Both bills call for a repeal of all of the Governor’s cuts with the Assembly adding a 9.5% Medicaid rate increase and the Senate a 10.5% increase.
It is important that the legislators hear that there should be no compromising off of the 10.5% during these negotiations.
