St. John’s once again hosted Embrace Living-- a one-day conference celebrating individuals who are vibrantly aging-- on Thursday, May 19, 2016. This year's event featuring educational seminars and inspirational speakers from the Rochester area was held at Brickstone by St. John's and St. John's Meadows and drew over 100 members of the community.
St. John's vision is to lead and inspire a shift in society's views of elderhood by embracing and celebrating life's experiences. Embrace Living is an event that brings together like-minded community members to address the topics and issues important to older adults.
"Suburban Outlaw" Pam Sherman served as this year's keynote speaker. Other contributors included St. John's chef Mike McAllister, Kroll Law Firm attorney Carolyn Reardon, MVP Health Care's Cheryl Minchella, and Democrat and Chronicle columnist Nick Francesco.
More than 20 organizations from the Rochester area were represented at Embrace Living, all looking to help adults stay active and engaged through the services they offer. Thank you to all of our participants! Interested in participating next year, contact Leona Rossi at 585-760-1291 or email her at gro.gnivilsnhojts@issorl.
