A New Holiday Tradition Begins

This December, St. John’s is transforming the beloved Illumination of Love tradition into an exciting new community celebration.

Light Up St. John’s will bring residents, families, employees, donors, friends, and members of the greater Rochester community together for an evening filled with holiday lights, music, family activities, festive food and beverages, and the lighting of our spectacular Tree of Light.

Gather your family and friends and join us for a celebration of the people who bring light, love, and joy into our lives.

Who Lights Up Your Life?

Some people have a remarkable way of bringing light into our lives.

A parent. A spouse. A grandparent. A friend. A caregiver. A teacher. Someone we remember. Someone we are grateful is still beside us.

With a gift of $10 or more to St. John’s Foundation, you can dedicate a light in honor of, in memory of, or in celebration of someone who lights up your life.

Every dedication will be represented by a personalized candle ornament on our Tree of Light. Decorate and place your ornament when you arrive or dedicate your light online in advance and we will prepare and place it for you.

Together, hundreds of individual tributes will create one extraordinary display of light, love, and generosity.

Dedicate a Light

Use the form below to make your gift and dedicate one or more lights on the Tree of Light.

Important: You must check the box labeled “Dedicate this gift” to submit your dedication information.

After checking the box:

  1. Select the type of dedication: In Honor Of, In Memory Of, or Someone Who Lights My Life.
  2. In the “Who do you want to recognize?” field, enter the name of each person you are recognizing.
  3. If your giving level includes multiple dedications, list all names in the same field, separated by commas.

Example: Mary Smith, John Smith, Robert Jones

Please be sure the number of names entered does not exceed the number of dedications included with your selected giving level.

Light Up St. John’s offers businesses and community partners a meaningful opportunity to support St. John’s residents while becoming part of a joyful new Rochester holiday tradition.

Sponsorship opportunities begin at $500 and include recognition on event signage, digital displays, the event webpage and selected communications. Exclusive opportunities are also available for the Tree of Light, Holiday Happy Hour, and featured event experiences.
