Former President George Bush announced in October 1989 the first annual “National Healthcare Food Service Week” to observe the contributions of professionals in the health care food service industry. The week of observation reaches out to professionals such as chefs, dieticians, and food service volunteers who not only keep waistlines in check, but who provide delicious and health conscious meals for health care facility residents and staff.
St. John's honored its own dining services employees for this national observance throughout the week by featuring a number of special ways to say "thank you" to this dedicated work force for their contributions. Food is such an important part of the lives of our residents, this team is critical to creating quality of life for those who call St. John's their home.
Some of the photos featured here showcase our employees, who are committed to bringing good food to tables across our system of care!
