St. John’s Meadows residents held their Third Annual Meadows/Brickstone Community Walk to End Alzheimer's on Friday, September 11 to raise funds and show support for the 2015 Walk to End Alzheimer’s campaign.
Residents and staff walked around the St. John’s Meadows community together, chatting and enjoying the bright sunshine. Some even stopped to admire resident Art Trimble’s budding passion flowers (native to Hawaii).
As residents finished the walk, they were met by cheers and applause from their friends and staff members.
Afterwards, everyone enjoyed cider and donuts and discussed how they would continue to raise money for the cause.
St. John’s will have a team participating in the Walk to End Alzheimer’s on September 26 at Monroe Community Hospital. Last year our team, staff, residents, family, and friends raised over $9,300 towards the Walk to End Alzheimer’s campaign. We are working hard to beat that number this year.
