Illumination of Love 2022: Holiday Tradition Returns

It was cause for celebration on Sunday, December 4. Illumination of Love—the annual courtyard lighting event that also serves as the unofficial kickoff to the holiday season—returned as an in-person gathering for the first time since 2019.

St. John’s Home resident Angie Sinacore was this year’s honoree to flip the switch, lighting the Skalny Courtyard at St. John’s Home for the season. The lighting event has been a tradition at St. John’s Home for over two decades.

This wonderful St. John’s tradition is also a fundraising event, with lights purchased in honor or memory of a loved one raising dollars for St. John’s Home residents. In total, 2,150 lights were purchased, resulting in $10,750 to benefit residents.

If you missed the event, be sure to check out the beautiful courtyard lights now illuminating St. John’s for the holidays during your next visit!
